After taking time to rest and restore our minds and spirits following our 2nd Annual Kwanzaa Celebration, we return feeling grateful, rejuvenated, and ready to hit the ground running!

It truly takes a village, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to every single person who made Kwanzaa possible—our community partners, volunteers, artists, workshop facilitators, donors, and supporters. Your presence, energy, and generosity fuel the work we do, and we don’t take it for granted. Thank you!

As we prepare to enter spring, we’re gathering to reflect, build, and dream forward as we prepare for our 5-year anniversary and upcoming programs. This is a space for you—our community—to share your voice, ideas, and energy. We also invite those interested to join a committee and help shape what’s ahead.

Today, we honor the Kwanzaa principle Imani (Faith). We strive to maintain faith in ourselves, each other, and our community.

In 2023, during Kwanzaa, we asked our village: What does Kwanzaa mean to you? Take a moment to reflect on their responses.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2nd Annual Chi-Village Kwanzaa Celebration on December 26th. We’re so grateful for our village, which has sustained us for the past 4 years.

As we celebrate 5 years this summer, we look forward to building and thriving together.
